About us
The family behind The Karakoram Odyssey has spent decades guiding travellers and working in tourism in Pakistan.
Our founder and CEO, Abdullah Bai, has more than 25 years of professional guiding experience.
The rest of the team are experienced guides too, with extensive trekking and tourism experience.
That experience belongs to the people behind the company. The Karakoram Odyssey itself is new, built on decades of work in the field.
The name is new; the experience behind it is not.

About The Karakoram Odyssey
The Karakoram Odyssey is a newly registered family tourism company in Pakistan.
Our aim is to help travellers experience Pakistan comfortably, authentically and in depth, with people who know the country from the ground up.
How we work
We combine local knowledge with managing the whole journey, so you don’t have to work out Pakistan alone. Depending on your journey, we can arrange:
- Airport pickup
- Transport, including 4x4 vehicles
- Accommodation and food
- Guides, trekking guides and porters
- Trekking and expedition logistics
- Help coordinating permits and other required trekking and expedition arrangements
- Sightseeing and cultural experiences
Journeys can be designed around your interests, the time you have, your group, your physical ability, your travel style and your budget.
What to expect from a local operator
Travelling with a local operator means planning with people who know the ground:
- Knowledge of the geography, roads, villages, trekking routes, cultural sites and local conditions
- One team looking after your journey, instead of separate bookings to piece together
