Overview
Long road days are the hardest part of travel in the mountains for families. This journey keeps a single base in Karimabad for five nights and makes every outing a short one, returning in time for rest, play or an early dinner.
Days still cover the essentials, from Baltit Fort to boating on Attabad Lake and the Passu skyline, but with built-in free time and no early starts.

Arrive in Gilgit
Arrival and an easy afternoon.
Overnight: Gilgit
Day 2
Gilgit to Karimabad
A relaxed drive north with plenty of stops. Timing varies with road and weather conditions.

Baltit Fort
Morning at the fort, afternoon free.

Attabad Lake
Short drive to the lake for boating and a lakeside lunch, back by afternoon.

Altit Fort and its garden, then time at leisure.
