Overview
In late March and April the orchards of Hunza and Nagar flower before the leaves come, so whole villages turn white and pink beneath peaks still deep in snow. Apricot usually blooms first, followed by cherry.
The journey stays low in the valleys where the blossom is, with village walks through Karimabad, Altit and Ganish, a day in Nagar, and a visit to Gojal, where spring arrives a little later.

Day 1
Arrive in Gilgit
Arrival and briefing.
Overnight: Gilgit
Day 2
Gilgit to Karimabad
North on the Karakoram Highway into Hunza. Timing varies with road and weather conditions.
Overnight: Karimabad
Day 3
Karimabad and Altit
Orchard walks between the two forts.
Overnight: Karimabad
Day 4
Nagar
Blossom in the Nagar villages and the road towards Hopper.
Overnight: Karimabad
Day 5
Attabad and Gulmit
Past Attabad Lake into Gojal, where the season runs later.
Overnight: Gulmit
Day 6
Ganish and Haldeikish
Back to central Hunza via the old settlement of Ganish and the Haldeikish rock carvings.
Overnight: Karimabad
Day 7
Return to Gilgit
Drive to Gilgit for onward travel.
