Overview
This concept uses central Hunza as a base and rides short sections of the Karakoram Highway and its village link roads. Karimabad, with Baltit and Altit forts above the river, is the natural centre, and the realigned highway through the Attabad tunnels gives an easy run up to the lake that formed after the 2010 landslide.
It suits riders who want a first taste of mountain riding in Gilgit-Baltistan, or who want to add a gentle few days to a longer trip. Riding stints are short and the days leave plenty of time off the bike. Timing varies with road and weather conditions.

Itinerary
Day 1
Arrive in Karimabad and settle in
Briefing and a short familiarisation ride around Karimabad and Altit. Timing varies with road and weather conditions.
Overnight: Karimabad
Day 2
Attabad Lake and back
Ride north on the Karakoram Highway through the Attabad tunnels to the lake, with stops at viewpoints, then return to Karimabad.

Day 3
Nagar side and departure
A short ride across the river to the Nagar side for views back towards Hunza before the trip ends.

Important notes and restrictions
- The Karakoram Highway can be blocked by landslides, particularly in the July–August monsoon; delays of hours are possible.
