Overview
Gulmit and Passu sit about 20 km apart on the Karakoram Highway, close to the Passu Glacier and beneath the Passu Cones. This short circuit rides between them at an easy pace, with stops along the highway, rather than covering ground.
It is intended as a taster for riders new to mountain roads, or as a rest-pace add-on to a longer itinerary. The route stays on the main highway and returns to the same base. Timing varies with road and weather conditions.
