A full-day walk in Gojal from Ghulkin across the Ghulkin Glacier to Borith Lake, continuing past abandoned Shahabad to the Passu Glacier and down to the highway.

Overview
This classic day walk links three Gojal villages and two glaciers. It starts in Ghulkin, crosses the rubble-covered snout of the Ghulkin Glacier to Borith Lake, then follows the southern shore past Borith Bala and the deserted settlement of Shahabad.
The final section descends beside the Passu Glacier to the Karakoram Highway near Passu. It is a good acclimatisation day before higher treks, with the Passu Cones in view for much of the way.

Itinerary
Day 1
Ghulkin to Passu via Borith Lake
Cross the Ghulkin Glacier with the guide, walk along Borith Lake and past Shahabad, then descend by the Passu Glacier to the Karakoram Highway for transport back.

Important notes and restrictions
- The glacier crossing is on loose rubble over ice; a local guide is recommended.
- Not suitable for very young children because of the glacier section.
- Shorter options: a walk from Ghulkin to the edge of the glacier and back, or Borith Lake alone.
