Patundas Meadows

Patundas is a summer pasture on the ridge separating two of Upper Hunza's great glaciers. From Passu the route heads past Borith Lake and the herders' settlements at Passughar and Luzhdar, crosses the Passu Glacier, and climbs to a broad grassy shoulder.

From the top the panorama takes in the Passu and Batura peaks, the Passu Cones and, on clear days, Rakaposhi far to the south. The glacier crossing needs local knowledge and sometimes a rope, which is why this is rated more seriously than its length suggests.
