Hopar is a cluster of villages at the head of the Nagar valley, perched above the Bualtar (Hopar) Glacier. The trek descends onto the ice, crosses to the Barpu side and climbs through herders' pastures and ablation valleys to Rush Lake, high on the ridge between the Barpu and Miar glaciers.
From the lake the view sweeps across Spantik, Malubiting, Miar Peak and Phuparash, with Ultar Sar behind. Acclimatised trekkers can add an ascent of Rush Peak for an even wider panorama. The return via Phahi Phari makes a loop rather than a straight retracing.

Overnight: Camp at Barpu Giram
Day 2
