Fairy Meadows is a forest-fringed pasture on the northern flank of Nanga Parbat, now part of Nanga Parbat National Park. The approach starts at Raikot Bridge on the Karakoram Highway, where local drivers take visitors up a narrow gravel road to Tato village; the rest is a few hours on foot.
Beyond the meadows the trail continues through the trees to Beyal, then along the edge of the Raikot Glacier towards the base camp used by climbers on the Rakhiot face. The walk is not technical, but it involves stream crossings and moraine, and the scale of the mountain above is the reason people come.
