Overview
Rama sits above Astore town, reached by jeep up a forested side valley. The meadows are open pasture fringed with pine, and a short walk beyond them leads to Rama Lake, fed by snowmelt from the eastern flank of Nanga Parbat.
This is one of the gentlest overnight walks in Gilgit-Baltistan and suits families and mixed groups. Accommodation near the meadows is simple, ranging from a government rest house to camping.

Itinerary
Day 1
Astore to Rama Meadows
Jeep from Astore up the side valley to Rama Meadows, then an afternoon stroll through the forest. Timing varies with road and weather conditions.
Overnight: Rest house or camp at Rama Meadows
Day 2
Walk to Rama Lake and return to Astore
Walk up to Rama Lake, spend time by the water, then return to the meadows and drive back to Astore.
