Overview
The jagged Passu Cones, known locally as Tupopdan, are one of the most photographed sights on the Karakoram Highway. Low light at either end of the day picks out their ridges, and viewpoints near Hussaini, Passu and along Attabad Lake give varied foregrounds.
This outing starts before sunrise at a chosen viewpoint, moves on to the lake as the light changes, and ends with breakfast in a Gojal village. Routes are adapted to the season, weather and the group's interests.
